In the summer of 2018 Float On Portland offered artists and designers a chance to experience their float tanks and create t-shirt designs incorporating their logo for a contest. The winning design would be used for the company’s t-shirts and the designer would receive a free year of floats. I had 3 float sessions. I had a completely different sensory experience during each float.
I created multiple designs based on these experiences. Some designs came directly to me while floating while others came afterward. Some were trippy, and some just felt right. The one that felt right ended up being the winner of the contest.
This was the winning design. It came to me in a flash, keep it simple.
